We, Oak Leaf Farms, had not been in harvest for more than 3 days and we had finished our first landlord crop of corn. We were heading back through the country on a Saturday night with the combine, moving back home for the weekend and the combine quit right in the middle of the road! Luckily it was a country road because it was there for a few days! Albion's staff got there as soon as they could to load it up and take it back to the shop. This was NOT a typical fix either and it was going to be a few weeks before the parts would be there and ready to go again. Luckily, we had just purchased the combine within the last year and it was still under warranty! This is where the staff really jumped into action! The salesman, Cody Williams got on the phone and started by finding us a combine to use while we were down and was willing to come help if needed. And as you all know, its not like the good ole days where you can just find another combine, hop in and get going, there are settings to get calibrated, monitoring equipment to install and set,...it takes some time. And to make matters worse, one of the partners that drives the combine most of the time had an accident and broke his leg! Talk about Murphy's Law, so the other partner had to brush off his skills to get the combine going! I digress....back to your staff....they were awesome...they delivered the combine got us up and going while our combine was in the shop! Needless to say, to figure out the problem, it basically was tore down all over the shop floor to find the issue and then get parts ordered and in to get to work on the fix. It took a bit for the parts to arrive and they were busy with other farm customers. We were good, due to the use of the combine that was lent to us and we were going! The guys were given updates when available and repairs were made in great time! Thank you so much Albion Sydenstricker Nobbe staff for your dedication to making your customers #1! Too all involved, from salesmen, parts guys and the guys doing the repairs, Oak Leaf Farms thanks you! The picture attached is Our combine on the last day of harvest...Halloween 2023! Had JD planter listed online for internet auction. Called on a Friday and spoke to a salesman to ask questions, he seemed knowledgeable on the unit. Drove down (4 hour ride) on a Monday to look over the unit and it did not match description in several ways. Went to speak to salesman, and found the one I spoke to the previous business day, and he had a whole new story on the planter and said they had found out that morning that it was on the auction, and that their main store in Missouri handled that.
The story wasn't consistent there, so I have no plans to look at any of their used machinery in the future.
