I was fairly new to boating when I met the good folks at Terpstra's Marine. I was looking for a new Suzuki outboard for my (new to me) vintage runabout. They educated me about my motor needs, took the time to respond via email and phone to all of my questions and were kind and quick when they let me know that they could not match another dealers quote. Ultimately I drove 4 hours to save some money with another dealer...

Huge Mistake!!! The other dealer kept my boat for 3 weeks (supposed to be 3 days) and rigged the boat in such a poor manor that I ended up bringing my boat to Terpstra's to get fixed correctly. The remembered me and even though they did not get my initial business, they promptly worked me into their schedule, re rigged the boat correctly, quickly and for a very fair price. Plus they provided detailed paperwork and that helped me get some money back from the original Suzuki dealer I worked with. These guys went above and beyond for me and I should have worked with them in the first place. I was penny wise and pound foolish.
Terpstra Marine is honest and hard working. They got me back on the water quickly and added a lot of value and safety to my boat. At the end of the season I got the boat winterized by Terpstra and again they treated me like family. I will never take my boat to another dealer. These guys are awesome!!!

Place is terrible. Let me start off by saying I took my boat there a few times and every time I got it back the problem was not fixed. They do NOT know how to diagnose a problem. They got a attitude we’re is take your money and go. Customer service is horrible. I shouldn’t have to call 4 times wondering what’s wrong with my boat. Save your time and go to holiday bot sales or cabelas for bot service. Wasted a few weeks with them having my boat. I will be posting signs everywhere addressing the problems to my fellow boat friends that I turned them on there thinking they were good. They will lose a good 30 boat friends and money...

They have always kept our boats running smoothly. Also, the motor I bought from them was the best outboard I've ever had.

Update11/11/22. Have to say i can no longer refer . So disappointing took the boat in to be winterized and wrapped had noticed when we unwrapped the boat that there were scuff marks from the wrap, when i mentioned this and asked about getting them buffed out got the super cold treatment. They did winterize the boat. Took 3 weeks and i had to call to check on it. They did buff out the scuffs but didnt tell me they werent going to wrap it i had to scramble to find another place. Fortunately i was able to and they were amazing. Will NEVER use terpstras again. Update 7/20/22 Went to start the boat for the summer and dang thing wouldnt start. Called these guys and you know how busy everyone is right now. They had me drop the boat off yesterday and called me this afternoon to let me know it was a warranty issue sadly they dont do four winns warranty. But they checked it out for me since they winterized it at no cost!! Who does that anymore I stand by my original
review these guys are the BEST!!! Absolutely the best place if you have water toys, I called around to check pricing on winterizing and wrapping my 2022 four winns boat. They were the best price hands down and extremely knowledgeable about my boat. They did an excellent job! Won't go anywhere else from now on!!
