This will be my 1st season here. My sister, her boyfriend, my mom and myself have one of the bigger plots. The groundskeeper is the nicest gentleman I've met. Anyone I've meet this far have been so kind and generous.

Growing food here seems rewarding, fun, and a great way to socialize with all kinds of people. Our homeschool co-op rented a plot and are about to plant our first garden there. We plan on using the garden for classes and the produce we grow to raise funds and provide to charity.

There are Foodshare days here every Wednesday evening from 5:00PM-6:00PM and Saturday morning from 9:00AM-10:00AM. Looks like there is lots of activity at the garden!

The Root 66 Community Garden has been a great place to enjoy the outdoors during the pandemic. Plus they have Food Share program which has provided seasonal harvest to its subscribed members.

I ❤ this Community garden Very Much. I joined the garden in sept 2020 due to the pandemic.

Before I decided to join, I asked the garden manager what's the Wild life that visited the garden often since this garden sits on open field. Gopher, rabit, cayote, birds, rats are the regular Visitor.

From the Honest information given and a permission to build a structure to protect my garden, hubby and I build garden canopy using pvc pipe to cut cost instead of wood.

My garden now has sunshade cloth to protect the plants from brutal sun, crazy gusty 80mile wind, gopher proof the whole 20x20 plot, build raised bed, enclosed and protected from rabit as well.

Garden is thriving. My snowpeas grow 6ft tall and I trained it sideways now. My tomatoes already forming some fruit and it's beginning of April. So is my peppers. They survive and start producing flowers, some already forming some fruit as big as my thumb ? ?.

I ve been gardening for 10 years. I have pretty big size backyard garden as well. But gardening at root66 give me a chance to talk to other fellow gardener and also learn to garden in the "wild".

Everyone have their own style of gardening and it's always nice to learn something new from other experienced gardener.

Root66 also has share days. On Wed eve and Saturday 8.30-9.30. This share days are great place for me to get rid of my EXTRAS from my Backyard garden and my garden at root66. I love the fact that most gardener here also garden at home. So we have plenty of harvest on share days to take home.

I am hoping that Eager to Learn /New Gardener won't give up Easily just because they failed the first year or thingking gardening is TOO Hard.

If u are New as a gardeners, i suggest to give two three years bfore you quit. Sometimes you just need to Learn the Science Behind Growing Food. ROOT66 is the best place for you to learn since many are experienced gardener here.

A garden as good as the time you are willing to put into it. Beware of wild rabbit, gophers and coyotes that are often seen on the grounds.
