Zach and his team did an awesome job with our backyard. We had Tru Landscape give us an estimate about a year ago and once my wife and I decided to move forward they helped us with getting the design approved through our HOA and we’re patient with us as we made changes along the way. The pricing was very transparent, even when changes came up that weren’t expected Zach walked us through our options (we had a planter wall we thought we were going to be able to save but once we started demo we realized it had no footings and we were going to have to build a new wall). Zach’s team was dependable, clean, accommodating, and trustworthy. The only access to our backyard is through our house and we have two cats that like to go outside. Zach’s team made sure they kept an eye on doors being closed through the process so the cats wouldn’t run off and they did a nice job protecting our floors and furniture from demo / delivery of items. We are thrilled and so happy with the backyard. We would highly recommend Tru Landscape to anyone looking to remodel their backyard / landscape space. Thanks Zach!

The TRU Landscape team completely changed our perspective of backyard contractors - from the first meeting, Zach was calm, professional, had a "yes we can, but have you considered this?" approach, and made us feel comfortable about moving ahead with their team. Other contractors were pushy or told us "well we do it this way..." when particular design elements or materials were requested by us as the homeowner. Seemed like others were trying to fit us into a cheap, cookie cutter approach for them to promote on their Instagram. Not TRU - in fact, they were the only contractor who paid attention to the unseen details - the drainage issues our yard had been suffering for decades, the right materials for underground utilities, the scheduling of the work to not interfere with our family's other commitments, protecting and cleaning all surfaces they touched - from the driveway to the backyard grass. Their onsite project manager Mike is friendly and easy-going, and there is obviously a ton of respect between their field teams and their management that shows both ways. Quality of their work is second to none - every paver perfectly placed and imperceptibly sloped to the nearest drain, and when two pavers broke after install, they immediately replaced them with new. I will 100% have them back to re-pave our driveway, side yard, and any other groundwork projects at our home in the future. Price was competitive and TRU's quality/flexibility brings their value to the top of the OC/LA market. Thank you TRU!

Small Batch Pets

We started remodeling our house 2 years ago, using 4 different contractors along the way. And I can say without hesitation Tru Landscape Services was far and away the best on all fronts. Zac and his crew were extremely professional clean and always on time. From the demo team to the framer, the tile guy to the painter, the entire crew did an impeccable job on my backyard redesign. I showed Zac a picture out of a magazine and they not only brought it to life, they made it better by building a Firepit overlooking thr pool and relocating the built in BBQ. We are happy to write this review of the Tru Landscape team. We have worked with Tru Landscape in the past to redo our driveway at our previous home along with building a patio cover and installing a natural gas fire pit at our current home. We have always been pleased with quality of work, personal attention, and competitive prices that Tru Landscape offers. When it came time to redo our backyard, including a complete update of our existing pool, choosing Tru Landscape was a no brainer.

Zach, Tim, Rogelio, and the entire Tru Landscape team were professionals through and through. They guided us through the design and build process and took the time to answer all of our questions. I want to stress this last point. We have worked with contractors in the past who have pushed us into certain products or finishes to meet deadlines or use excess materials they may have on hand. This is not the case with the Tru Landscape team. They took the time to listen to what we wanted and provide professional guidance along the way. When we ran into a snag with materials or logistics, they worked with us to find solutions. There was never a time when they told us something was not possible.

Our backyard remodel included the following items:

• Re-pipe our pool.
• Re-plaster our pool with pebble tech, add porcelain coping,
new tile, new lights, and reconfigure our spa steps.
• Automate our pool and so that it can be controlled remotely .
• Add a baja shelf to our pool.
• Redo our entire hardscape, installing pavers and porcelain
tile.
• Redesign our landscaping including the removal of an
approximate 11-foot-wide planter and add new planters
throughout, including irrigation and low voltage lighting.
• Replace our grass with artificial turf.
• Build a full outdoor kitchen, shower, and fire pit.
• Rebuild our existing patio covers.
• Design and install new redwood pool equipment enclosure,
redwood bench, and redwood "ceiling" of our patio cover, the
perfect accent piece that receives tons of compliments!

We have added a few photos for review, but honestly they do not do it justice. We are extremely happy with the end result and will be using Tru Landscape for all future work. The Tru Landscape team was honest and fair with pricing throughout the process. They stuck to their original bid and when we chose to upgrade or expand the scope of work, they worked with us to process change orders. The Tru Landscape team provided continual updates and never left us in the dark. Zach and Tim would pick up their phone anytime we called and continually provided us with updates.

The guys at Tru really did a great job with our back yard. We tried to do our due diligence during the pandemic market and Zack at Tru was the only one who was willing to meet with us, give us a price, and begin the job within the year.

Zack and Tim are knowledgeable and willing to work with you to make your job look the way you want it. The crew they send out to take care of the job worked through the hottest months non-stop and they did it with a smile. JJ, Rujelio, Chapiz, and Freddy were always willing to answer questions and provide guidance to help ensure the best possible outcome. I really enjoyed having them do the work at my house and would highly recommend them.

As the job progressed and setbacks arose, as there always is during major construction, Zach and the guys were in constant communication with me and other contractors to try and move along the process. Zack and Tim's communication was the key to keeping us happy. They exceeded our expectation and delivered on the end product.

I look forward to using Tru Landscaping again in the future to complete our front yard.
