Only 3 stars for now, so I could share schedule update. I was bummed to drive out there and find it closed, after seeing such great reviews. There's a sign posted on the gate, stating to call for an appointment. However, I so appreciate their taking precautions during this precarious time. I am sure it hasn't been easy on them as a business. I will be going back out, when i can schedule some time to find some beauties for our yard. I will update my review at that time.

Office hours state both online, on their website and at roadside that they are open Sunday until 5 pm. I drove all the way from San Francisco. Upon getting to their gate, it said they have appointments only due to COVID. I called and the guy who answered said that he had not had time to update their website. COVID started 2 years ago…who has that little time to update hours on a website? He was very callous and knew I was in the parking lot.If he was inside, why not schedule an appointment for today? Will never return to this place.

I wish there were a way to rate Westside with more than 5 stars. I had a wonderful experience. I called Chris looking for a lemon tree as a gift for my parents. I'm in Colorado, so a bit of a challenge. I was looking for a nursery that would have a reasonable price, provide installation, and stay in touch with me during the process. I found all of this! Chris was so kind and patient in arranging for the tree to be installed by Leo. Between the two of them they were able to cut a hole in a deck, trim it out, and install the tree with the proper soil medium, making the tree look as if it has been there for years. I'm so pleased with their above and beyond efforts to make this happen, and my parents love their tree. I highly recommend Westside and will be using them for future gifts whenever possible!

Absolutely wonderful nursery. Very knowledgeable staff and great selection of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees. I bought my wife a Twilight Zone rose from them and they dead headed it for me and gave me some simple care instructions for it prior to leaving.

Chris was so helpful and patient. He answered questions about the plants we were ordering, how to transplant them and how to keep them healthy. He spent lots of time making sure we knew what to do when we took the plants home, which was greatly appreciated as I am a novice gardener.

This is a great place to go if you don't mind the drive over to Gilroy from Santa Cruz. Great selection of plants and also trees (all kinds- fruits natives, etc). The hours are a little different from what you would think so call ahead before taking on the trip. But well worth it. Good value for the money and very helpful people.

We came here for some Podocarpus. We got 8 of them at $35 a piece. Moon Valley growers quoted me $699 for the same size plant! My husband and I have our own businesses and would rather support local hard working people like ourselves.
