Ordered 5 pallets of tiftuf bermuda for our backyard renovation project, delivered on 9/27. Sod looked great (healthy and fresh) on day of delivery. Delivery man (Roy?) was awesome, wanted to ensure we were happy with sod before accepting. He was very professional and careful in how he delivered as to not cause any damage to the property. The sod endured some shock (from sitting on pallet all day while laying it) and this made me really nervous. I called asking for advice and was told not to worry. We have been careful to maintain proper watering since install, and I'm glad to share that today 10/1 (just 4 days after install) you can see green poking through the yellowed spots, and there are already some healthy looking roots beginning to develop underneath. Overall, great experience with customer service and the product seems very good for the price paid. We are hopeful that we will have a beautiful, lush green lawn in no time!

Update 8/3: My yard service confirms the sod is infested with webworms and is trying to treat it before we have to throw it out and buy new sod.

Updated on 8/2. TLDR; Purchased 3 pallets of St. Augustine sod (1 pallet on three successive days). Two weeks later after abundant sun and water, all but approximately 1/2 pallet is dead or dying. Despite notifying Woerner of quality concerns on the second day (response: "add water and it will green up"), Woerner Landscape will only refund one pallet.

Full story: Purchased 3 pallets of St Augustine on three successive days ( one each day 7/15 - 7/18). Initial 1/2 pallet looked very good, but quality of sod grew steadily worse on successive pallets. Called and voiced concern regarding the sod quality on second day with company but concerns were dismissed ... according to them, the sod only "needed water" and would eventually "green up." On 7/29 with steadily dying grass despite abundant water and sun, I spoke with Matt (manager) and asked for a replacement pallet to which he agreed (photos provided at that time). I was to pick up the replacement pallet on 8/2 after a business trip. However, after returning from my trip, I noted that almost ALL the sod was now dead or dying ... I cancelled the replacement pallet and asked for a full refund. I offered them to come see the sod but they declined and the full refund was refused. The company states they will refund the price of one pallet only because "too much time has passed". Really? We had notified them of quality issues on DAY TWO and they dismissed our concerns out of hand. So much for waiting for it to "green up." Now I have a lawn full of dead and dying sod that I will to have remove and replace. I will not do any future business with a company that refuses to stand behind its product. My yard service confirms that the sod is infested with webworms and is trying to treat it. BUYER BEWARE.

Great customer service and prompt delivery. On the other hand, about half (8 of 16) of the sod ordered contained little to no soil, smelled sour, and was hot (very hot) in the middle of the pallet. Obviously this part died so now half the yard is patchwork look. Hopefully it will grow and fill in but for the money and time spent, it should have been right.

I had 7 pallets of sod installed in my front yard. At first it was beautiful and lush green. But within a week it started to turn brown in patches, and the deterioration was noticeable on an almost hourly basis. I called my landscaping professional, a company I have had great service from for 9 years. He discovered an infestation of sod webworms, the worst he had ever seen. They were in every part of the sod I bought from Woerner turf. The yard was bare earth before the sod install; there is no doubt that the webworms and their eggs were delivered with the turf.

This isn't supposed to happen. Most sod farms treat their sod to kill pests prior to harvesting. Obviously, this step was overlooked for my sod.

My landscaper was able to treat the lawn and kill off the infestation, but the damage was severe. There are parts of the turf that will not recover.

I reached out to Woerner turf through my sod installer to see what there warranty policy was. I wasn't too upset; these things happen. I figured they would deliver a couple of pallets to replace the worst parts and we'd call it good.

No dice. John, the manager, refused to warranty their sod. He said their sod farm was "meticulously maintained" and the infestation was not from their sod. Obviously not true. He told my installer he would call me personally to follow up (he didn't).

Pretty pathetic. Deliver a defective product and refuse to take accountability. Cost me over $3,000 for the turf and landscaping, and now I have to do it again.

Stay away. There are plenty of places to buy turf from.

We recently visited Woerner Landscape to select stones for a new garden path. The friendly and knowledgeable manager, John Blackburn, walked us through their yard and explained the pros and cons of each option. We selected what we thought would work best and had the stones delivered a few days later. The path turned out amazing and we would not hesitate to revisit Woerner for any future projects.

Sods ok. Just ok. The consistency should be better. It's often not the same size nor is it the same depth. I understand a broken piece or two but when most of the palate is mismatched. This leads to a lot of work for the people who are actually installing the sod. Also go oil your windmill. It's metal on metal and squeaks.
