Zehr is consistently the best at what they do. They are professional, highly-trained, and easy to work with. Regardless of the job, they go the extra mile to ensure that they're not creating more work for us after their job is done. Things like laying down tiles for their machinery to maneuver rather than tearing up our grass. And I've never seen a crew clean up as well as they do after every job. I highly recommend.

I have had 3 trees cut down by Zehr in the past couple of years. The thing I appreciate most about them is that if it wasn't for the fact I had a tree missing, I would not have known they were there. Jon & his crew continuously impress us. We have had them cut down a tree and they left our yard looking clean and immaculate! We recently had Zehr remove a large oak tree that hung over the edge of our house. The crew was in and out in a few hours. They protected the surrounding landscaping and yard and thoroughly cleaned up. Once finished, the only trace that they had been there was the stump! We would not hesitate to have Zehr do future work for us.

UPDATE. (05/19/2023): Just had Zehr do another project for us to do a complete rip/replace of all of our front and side landscaping. Again just so impressed with this company and their crews. In two days they completely removed our existing landscaping and put in all new. Also had them fix some grading problems. Everything ended up just stunning. Since my original review we have had them do numerous work, and never had one bad experience.

Had three trees removed, two of the stumps ground out and the final tree's root ball removed. The whole process was just incredible. Starting with the tree removal, the crew was just amazingly respectful of the yard. Everything was cleaned even better than it was when they arrived. The stump grinding crew spent a lot of time making sure the pine trees and all the needles, pine cones, etc were all removed as well. Finally, due to such a busy season John Zehr himself showed up today on Memorial Day with his two helpers to dig out the front yards ash tree root ball. Extremely impressed with this company and will definitely be doing future business with them.

These guys are awesome! I had Zehr do my fall cleanup and trimming a couple years ago and they did a great job. When I needed help finishing off some clearing and landscaping this year, I called for an estimate. Zehr provided a competitive estimate and started right away. They finished taking down a few trees, cleared the undergrowth and even removed two large sections of partially buried concrete left during development of the subdivision years ago. When the weather finally warmed up (after our recent April snow), they came back to finish grading and seeding. Unfortunately, we had 30-40 mph wind gusts for two days, which blew away quite a bit of the loose straw covering. I emailed Zehr and with 30 minutes, they were out laying down more covering! Just outstanding professionalism! I am including a few photos of before, during and after. Unfortunately, I had to use Google Earth images of before. I will add more once the grass and leaves come in.

Excellent work by a very efficient crew. They worked in a very safe and professional manner. Completed the work in a timely manner and left no mess or damage to our property. I would definitely recommend if you are in need of tree work.

We would and have recommend Zehr Property to others. We are very pleased with the work that they did. We hired them to bury three down spouts and rip out, remove, and install a new larger patio and fireplace. In addition, they rebuilt the small deck that we had. Entire crew was very friendly and very easy to communicate with. A month after the project was complete, I emailed Jon to say that a lot of the seed hadn't taken and he came back out to reseed--no extra cost (two days after the project was complete it rained a lot and most of the seed washed away). While they were reseeding I asked them to fix a squeaky step. The only down complaint that we have is the top soil they used was not what we were expecting; had lots of rocks (small to larger than golf ball size) along with bits of hard plastic, wood, and shells.
