Hi, it's always deb . This is a current photo along the banks of the Historical Suwannee River at THE Advent Christian Village. As you all know, we had a hurricane blow thru there was a lot of damage to our beautiful scenery . 🎄 so sad for trees .We are still cleaning up for the most part. The Advent Christian Village has remand the same Ouite and secluded Always Deb 😘

My short stay there started
Out fine, the food was great and residents, although some 20yrs older were cordial… however an out break of bedbugs and other parasites turned into a constant struggle with hateful staff!! It took me months of misdiagnosed bites and pathetic parasites creaking all over me and subsequent eviction and still untreated biting… Monica Crawford was absolutely the worst to deal with and Craig Carter didn’t pass along my 30 day notice.. the sheriff came with maintenance staff and started throwing my things in large garbage bags.. I was so upset and was escorted off the property… on my walker I had to walk two miles .. I found my things at Village Attic with a two day notic for more money asked for by hateful Monica and my service coordinator who did no coordination…. My dentures , $1200 were in a maggot infested garbage bag I accidentally looked into… Advent may have a Christian or two but nothing to do with staff… they are greedy and false….Craig Carter is a figurehead only… corny….no leader like his father… I have so many bites

Not what I expected. Residents I talked to seemed very shy about talking about their living there. Why? The nursing building seemed to be their main focus. Living in the few places outside of them were scattered about, unless you could afford the cottages...I couldn’t. The lodge was great and clean and welcoming. Wish I could have lived there! So, go visit, if you need immediate care, move there. Highly recommended. If you are pre-nursing home and are looking for affordable housing, that will be hard to find. The grounds, the people, all great.

This is a wonderful and beautiful campus. Everyone you come in contact with are super nice and very caring. They have something for everyone,from government assisted housing to homes on the Suwannee River listed in the $400,000. range. The outdoor activities are awesome,2 pools including a indoor one.Three onsite restaurants are very reasonably priced and a Lodge for visitors. My mother has been a resident for 7 years and the family couldn’t be happier with her quality of life at the village!!!

I live here and when you enter the village, you are home. The church bells call to your spirit, the smiles and greetings are heartfelt... yes, you are home. Gone are the worries of searching for affordable home maintenance... a maintenance crew is on duty to meet your needs. Daily, there is someone who checks on you. "Are you okay?" Yes, you are. You are respected. Copeland Medical Center is in the village and transportation is provided. Two restaurants with member discounts, a village grocer and shops are located on the Village Square. You can travel down the Suwanee River in a Pontoon boat, learn gardening, work with ceramics, learn to paint, walk the nature trail! The list is endless but one thing is certain... you are welcome here and loved. God has blessed ACV; His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us has never been more apparent than here at ACV. I believe there are angels here! We pray together, celebrate, and sometimes even cry together, because God knows we all need to feel needed and loved. Come to the Christian Village and welcome home! Your family is waiting!

My mom has been a resident at Dacier Manor for almost 3 years now and we are so pleased. They are a great team to work with, compassionate and flexible, always willing to help, and have gone above and beyond on a number of occasions. My mom loves living there and has made many friends that keep her socially active on a daily basis.

My parents have enjoyed their experience at Advent Christian Village so much they wrote a testimonial, but have no online accounts to share it, so they have asked me to post this for them.

We bought a lot and built a home at ACV in 2007. We have been very happy here and intend to remain for the rest of our lives. ACV is like no other retirement community. From its location on the banks of the scenic Suwannee River, we enjoy the wonderful facilities and activities as well as learning about the rich history of the Village since its establishment in 1913. Boredom is available only by choice. Most importantly, we feel very safe here and do not worry about the kind of violence and unrest occurring in other areas of our country. Our ACV community has also weathered the COVID-19 pandemic exceptionally well because of our ACV leadership and the availability of vaccinations and healthcare on campus. We enjoy the convenience of a medical clinic with a full-time physician and supporting staff. Assisted living and nursing home care are both available on campus. Our children are delighted to be relieved of the burden of making medical decisions for us now or in the future we are confident our presence here results from an act of divine intervention. -Arthur and Ann Lawrence
